On 11 July 2025, the family Clarebout reached an agreement with J.R. Simplot Company on the sale of the Clarebout Potatoes group. This partnership brings together two complementary leaders in the global frozen potato industry, enabling both to reinforce their positions in the international market. The closing of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
A multidisciplinary Eubelius team led by Philippe Mulliez, Michiel Nuitten and Miel Dhuyvetter, in collaboration with Wouter Claes, Thomas Donnez, Kim Gillade, Kelly Moens, Jolien Bulcke and Nikolai De Clercq, assisted the family Clarebout and Clarebout Potatoes on all legal aspects of the transaction process.
