Thomas is a member of our Banking & Finance practice with a particular focus on banking and debt capital market transactions and regulatory advice.
He has been an attorney at Eubelius and a member of the Brussels Bar since 2013.
Thomas obtained a law degree from the University of Brussels (VUB) in 2012 and holds an LL.M. in International Financial Law at King’s College London since 2013.
Within the field of Banking & Finance, Thomas focuses on:
- banking and debt capital market transactions, including (cross-border) syndicated loans, real estate finance, debt restructurings and public and private offerings of securities and debt instruments; and
- financial regulatory advice, such as in relation to MiFID, banking governance matters, collective investment schemes (UCITS) and Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMD).
He assisted Bain Capital Private Equity with the financing of the proposed public takeover bid for the Belgian listed company Resilux (2017), and he assisted BEVCO (Santo Domingo family) with the Belgian aspects of the financing of the combination of AB InBev and SAB Miller (2016).
Thomas also advised Apetra in its EUR 1.26 billion financing with the Belgian State and regularly assists on cross-border syndicated loans.
