Eubelius acted as counsel to WDP in the negotiation of a EUR 150 million financing package with EBRD, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The proceeds of the financing package will be used exclusively to fund new-build development projects at important logistics hubs, enhancing Romania’s logistics infrastructure and employment within a modern and healthy working environment. The buildings funded by EBRD will be green certified, qualifying the loan as a green loan under WDP’s Green Finance Framework. In addition, EBRD and WDP will also set up an inclusion project, creating opportunities for young labour market entrants in Romania to address the high levels of youth unemployment.
