On 14 September 2017, Danone sold its "growing-up milk" business in Belgium to the Belgian Inex group.
This divestment represented the final step in Danone's acquisition of WhiteWave (present on the European market with its Alpro brand). To address the European Commission's competition concerns in relation to the acquisition, Danone had offered to divest a large part of its "growing-up milk" business in Belgium.
The French law firm Bredin Prat assisted Danone in the global transaction. The Eubelius team, which included Marieke Wyckaert, Wouter Claes, Korneel Decroix and Joris De Wolf, assisted Danone with all Belgian aspects of the divestment.
