Michiel specialises in corporate law. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and has developed particular expertise in private equity transactions.
Michiel also regularly advises in related areas of corporate and financial law, including both private and public capital raisings.
He became an attorney at Eubelius and a member of the Brussels Bar in 2016.
Michiel obtained his law degree at the University of Antwerp in 2016. In 2024, Michiel also obtained his PhD at the University of Antwerp with a dissertation on equity subscription, conversion, and preference rights.
Michiel is associated with the Research Group Business & Law at the University of Antwerp. Michiel also regularly authors contributions in specialised publications and is a frequent speaker at seminars in the areas of company and financial law.
