The Eubelius Board of Directors and Marieke Wyckaert herself have announced that Marieke Wyckaert took her leave of the firm and of the Brussels Bar on 31 December 2021.

As of 1 January 2022, Marieke will concentrate fully on her academic career.

Marieke Wyckaert: “I am incredibly grateful to Eubelius for the time that I spent there and where I was able to exercise my profession at a high level in an atmosphere that is very much people-focused. I would like to thank all of my clients for our strong professional working relationship. My gratitude also goes to all of the people I worked with during my time with the firm – thanks to them, Eubelius truly was my dream professional environment. With every ending comes a new beginning and I am confident that with the recent appointment of three new partners and two new counsels, the future is assured for Eubelius.”

Matthias Wauters (Managing Partner): “On behalf of everyone at Eubelius, I would like to thank Marieke most warmly for the years of successful, instructive and especially enjoyable time we spent working together. Marieke is and will remain a role model and inspiration for the Belgian legal profession and for all Eubelians. We wish her every success with her projects in the future. In addition to her many legal achievements, Marieke will always be associated at Eubelius with the implementation of the Code of Companies and Associations and with her work on CSR, which she has made an integral part of our DNA at Eubelius.”

Thank you for everything, Marieke – we’re going to miss you!
