Pandox AB, a leading owner of hotel properties in northern Europe, has received the necessary court approval to enter into an agreement to acquire Silken Berlaymont in Brussels, Belgium. The hotel, with a strong location adjacent to the EU Commission, is full-service, with 212 rooms and a competitive meeting product.
The transaction will take the form of an acquisition of a selection of assets and liabilities, including the building and the hotel business, and takes place within the judicial reorganisations of the companies owning the hotel. The purchase price amounts to EUR 30 million (excluding transfer taxes).
Transfer of possession is expected at the end of May 2017.
