On 11 May 2016, the shareholders of bpost have approved the amendments to the articles of association, proposed by the board of directors of bpost. Eubelius already assisted Proximus in this process too, which was also successfully completed there on 20 April 2016. Both amendments to the articles of association adapt mainly the articles of association of Proximus and bpost to the thoroughly amended law of 21 March 1991 on the reform of certain economic public companies. The amendment to the law is aimed at modernizing the law of 21 March 1991 by, among other things, aligning the corporate governance rules for listed autonomous public companies to the corporate governance rules for listed companies, and also defines a framework for the state to decrease its majority participation.
