End December 2015, the 17 Belgian BE-REITs (“GVVs/SIRs") created the BE-REIT Association.
The purpose of this non-profit organization under Belgian law (vzw/asbl), which is chaired by Laurent Carlier (CFO Befimmo), is to represent and promote the interests of the Belgian REIT sector towards various stakeholders. It provides to its members a forum for developing and supporting global initiatives of importance to the BE-REIT sector, for collecting knowledge and relevant industry information and providing training.
Eubelius assisted the BE-REIT sector in the creation of the BE-REIT Association and its first steps. This fits with Eubelius’ role as a leading adviser to the BE-REIT community. The Eubelius team was headed by Lars Van Bever and Erik Voets.
