Today the Belgian Competition Authority announced that it closed its investigation of the Batopin ATM project which it had opened in April 2022. The Authority concludes that the commitments offered by Batopin (including the reinforcement of its ATM network by 70 additional sites) compensate ATM users for the gradual replacement of the ATM networks of Batopin’s founding shareholders, Belfius, BNPP Fortis, ING and KBC.
