Siel practices real estate law and contract law with a special focus on property structuring and transactions. Siel has broad experience in structuring decentral energy projects (heat grids, solar panels, wind turbines), utility cabling and park management. Her transaction experience includes multiple sale- and leaseback transactions.

She joined Eubelius in 2019 and is member of the Brussels Bar.

Siel studied law at KU Leuven and New York University. She obtained her Master’s degree in 2014 and defended her PhD at the same university and at the Université de Lille in 2019. In her PhD research, Siel looked into the obligations connected to property rights (‘real obligations’)

She also worked as a teaching and research assistant at KU Leuven Kortrijk Campus (2014-2018) and at the Institute for Property Law at KU Leuven (2018-2019) and is still connected to the Institute as voluntary research assistant.

Siel is the author of academic publications and speaks at legal conferences and seminars. She has received academic prices, including the Ius Commune Prize and the TPR prize.

She handles cases in Dutch, English and French.
