
Marie-Laure Degroote is an attorney at Eubelius. She is a member of the Real Estate team.
She joined Eubelius in 2025 and became a member of the West Flanders Bar in the same year.
She graduated as Master of Law at KU Leuven in 2019. She also obtained a complementary degree in Notarial law from Ghent University in 2023. In 2025, Marie-Laure completed her PhD at KU Leuven with a doctoral thesis entitled: “Abandonment of property rights: towards a sustainable reconciliation between property and contract law”.
Marie-Laure worked as a (post-)doctoral researcher at the Institute for Property Law at KU Leuven (2019-2025). The Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) awarded her a fellowship for her research (2020-2024). She was also the editorial assistant of Tijdschrift voor Privaatrecht (2021-2025).
Marie-Laure is the author of several academic publications and a regular speaker at legal conferences and seminars.
She handles cases in Dutch, French and English.
