Tim Van Moorhem
Tim is a member of the corporate real estate team and is actively involved in complex corporate law matters in the real estate sector. The projects vary from share deals of real estate companies to the securitisation of real estate (incl. structuring and advice to private real estate funds) to assisting with public capital market transactions and corporate restructurings (e.g. by means of contributions in kind) of public regulated real estate companies. Tim is also closely involved in regulatory initiatives concerning regulated real estate companies.
He has been an attorney at Eubelius and a member of the Brussels Bar since April 2015. In 2016, he was promoted to Senior Attorney.
Tim graduated with a Master's degree summa cum laude as a Commercial Engineer at the University of Brussels (HUB) in 2008. In 2014 he obtained his Master's degree in Law magna cum laude at the University of Brussels (VUB).
In 2008 he started working for PwC Belgium as a financial consultant, focusing on public-private partnerships (PPP) and final (re)structuring of complex facility agreements. In 2010, Tim was seconded for a year to the London office of PwC, where he assisted in the settlement of major bankruptcies and international debt restructuring cases. In 2011, Tim became an investment manager for (public) real estate and infrastructure at ParticipatieMaatschappij Vlaanderen (PMV). He was part of the Via-Invest team and worked on the public procurement process and the subsequent follow-up of a number of important Flemish PPP cases. He also gained extensive experience in public real estate, i.e. office buildings used by government entities. For example, he assisted in the structuring, issue and placement of the private real estate certificate of the LAK VMM Ghent-building and the sale of GO!'s head office and the VAC Ghent building.
Tim teaches in the Young Professionals Real Estate Program of Kulak (University of Leuven Campus Kortrijk).
